CUT CLIMATE POLLUTION FROM BIG DAIRYRight now, the Government is putting together its long-delayed “Emissions Reduction Plan” to tackle the climate crisis. But the first draft doesn’t go anywhere near far enough to cut emissions from New Zealand’s worst climate polluter: the dairy industry. New Zealand has too many cows. Rural people’s drinking water, our rivers and the climate are suffering. Instead, we can have thriving rural communities where people make their livelihoods farming in a way that keeps our water, land, and climate safe and healthy, through regenerative-organic agriculture. But we need Government action now. Join our call on Prime Minister Ardern and the Government to take real action to cut dairy emissions and to cut climate pollution from NZ's biggest polluter: industrial dairying. |
